Tim and Gill Hewitt-Jones and Sara Grint have now worked together for many years, and with their overlapping skills and local knowledge, have a good sense of the possible when it comes to planning programmes for performance. Alpha joined the team more recently after working with Tim & Sara on other projects for many years.  Ronke has been part of the team since 2013.

Gill Hewitt-Jones, who studied at Durham and Cambridge, was inspired by the teaching methods of Sheila Nelson at the renowned Tower Hamlets Centre for Young Musicians String Teaching Scheme, has been Head of Strings at Dulwich Prep London for fifteen years, nurturing string players in their crucial early stages with lessons and string groups.

Tim Hewitt-Jones who studied at Cambridge and the Royal Academy, played with the London Symphony Orchestra before joining the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House thirty two years ago (his favourite moments: Schostakovitch 5/Davis in Moscow, Mahler 5/Abbado in Vienna, and more recently recording ‘Tristan & Isolde’ with Pappano and Domingo at Abbey Road) has been involved with youth orchestras since first putting out music stands for his father aged eight! All four have taken a keen interest in musical education, and sincerely believe that introducing music of good taste to young people at an early age is a vital ingredient in a civilized society!
